Intellectuals menaced by the canon

saimiriAn intellectual family in Shkodër has to hide to escape revenge. Four human lives menaced by death, including kids. This is another painful chapter of the after 1997 Albanian reality. In a few words, this is the story of Samir Meti, his wife Blerta and their two kids, Rej almost 16 and Aron 9 years old. Samir graduated on History in the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University of Shkodra in 2006-2009 and finished a master in 2009-2010 with excellent results. His wife, Blerta Meti graduated in the same university as an elementary teacher with 20 years of experience. But Rej Meti, their oldest child, doesn't have the same fortune to study as his parents did, though he finished the elementary school with good results, and now isn't following the studies as his mates. This family is now experiencing the tragedy brought by the blind political revenge in a country which isn't able to guarantee the life of the policemen, as it happened to the officer Kol Ndreshaj, executed for revenge, while on duty in Malesi e Madhe. The family Meti's Calvary begun with the elections of June 28th 2009. During those elections, Samir Meti faced the extremists of the party on power, who wanted to have the necessary votes to stay on power at any cost, even threatening. This is what happened to Samir, whose life was seriously threatened by people backed-up by high structures of the State stretching their tentacles to Shkodra. The threatening situations faced by Samir Meti are also proved by a report of the deputy of the district. But, it wasn't over yet. According to the Canon of Lek Dukagjini, with a great power and use in North Albania, after the elections the conflict became individual for Samir Meti. The conflict is still open threatening the family Meti. The general protests of the Albanian opposition defending the question of transparency of elections asking for the ballot-boxes to be opened, to the point of famine-protest of the deputies during the spring of 2010, were another anxiety for Samir. As he joined in the defense of the purest democratic ideals, Samir was almost kidnapped, as a continuation of the conflict started on June 28th 2009. The conflict worsened on June 2010 when Samir was punched by the cousin P.G. and was sent at the emergency of the Regional Hospital of Shkodra. Fearing a possible revenge, he had to leave the hospital. As a target of revenge, Samir experienced a terrible situation on July 26, 2010, at about 21.00 in his neighborhood. He was shot three times, but he escaped death thanks God and the darkness. Because of the secret links between those menacing and the structures of the State, Samir didn't report the happening to the police. Though there's rumor that the shooter was arrested, Samir is convinced that he is not the person in conflict, but another, as it might have been an organized group. On August 2010, the windows of Samir's house were broken and a quantity of explosion was found nearby his house. This happening of the morning of August 26, 2010 caused a trauma to his wife Blerta and the oldest son Rej, who were treated at the hospital. Samir and his little son Aron were not home, so his brother in law sent his wife and their son at the hospital in the afternoon. These menaces and violence toward this family created a very hard situation. The family Meti had to leave their life in town, to live hidden in countryside, leaving no address. They're on the target of revenge and their life is in serious danger.

When the grandson faces violence in the name of revenge against the grandfather!

vjerdhaThe blind revenge hits again on the family of Ideal Vjerdha. Within a short time, this family was hit twice. Yesterday, on September 2, Ideal Vjerdha's house was destroyed, but the worst thing is that his mother, Luiza Kadiu faced violence. While looking for information about his son, Ideal, his mother, Luiza was hardly hit by unknown masked people. Luiza Kadiu is hospitalized at the emergency with many fractures. Her neighbors sent her at the hospital. This violence started on February 13th 2010, as a consequence of a family history. Beqir Vjerdha, Ideal Vjerdha's grandfather, has been persecuting many big families during communist dictatorship in Albania. He worked in the Internal Affairs Ministry at the time and at the Police of Shkodra, where he was part of persecuting people condemned by the communist state before the '90. As we reported for the first violence, since 1960 Beqir Vjerdha covered important positions in the Communist Party and the structures of the Police and the Internal Affairs, for the Security Department, the political police of the dictatorship times. Revenge today and the political consequences fall on Ideal Vjerdha, the only grandson of Beqir Vjerdha. The police begun and goes on with investigations about violence used on the family Vjerdha, as now they're repeated menaces. Because of these continuous menaces and systematic violation, Ideal Vjerdha and his wife and children had to leave since the first case on February 2010, also reported by our journal. The blind revenge, based also in clear political motives is now falling on the grandson of Beqir Vjerdha, registering another victim when the grandson has to pay for his grandfather and when life is not safe in the birth-country.
