Blood-feud is burying everyday

Because of the lack of the state of law, blood-feud, having its origin in the Lek Dukagjini codes, is every day taking away innocent lives, as the only way to have honor back. Nine people were shot for revenge during two days in Albania. Exact records have never been given by the Albanian justice institutions. Only since 1998 until now, 537 people were shot dead in north Albania, as it is in Shkodra, Malesi e Madhe, Puke and Lezhe, according to the Blood-feud Reconciliation Association. The mostly hit area is that of Shkodra, where the Kanun is self-justice even for the most common conflicts, as an insult, for instance. Cases are many and TV and newspaper chronicles are every day filled with many victims. It will be considered a bright day when the news will not start with blood-feud revenges. One of the blood-feud victims is Fatmir Bulija, born in Shkoder on March 24, 1968. He lives his life between fear and death since 2000. He had this business of a grocery. Masked people with guns went in his grocery asking him to pay them 20.000 dollars. As he didn't have that money, he tried to defend what he had earned with hard labor in order to care for his family, his wife and the two kids. He had a newborn girl and a three years old boy. The robbers violently took everything in the shop. They also menaced to kill him just because he resisted them and didn't agree to give land the money. They were asking for revenge. After a few days he was shot at the center of the city, near "Migjeni" Theatre, where he escaped miraculously hiding through many people passing by. Since that time he was living hidden as he understood that the bullet was waiting for him out there. On the information we have, Fatmir Bulija found a way to leave Albania, leaving closed at home his wife, Ardita and the two children, Gledis, his 14 years old son now, and his 11 years old daughter Sindi. The mother and the two children are living hidden, deprived of games, school and everything, even food.
We knew these two little kids' father is somewhere abroad, yet without address. He didn't ask for protection in no occidental country for such a long time, fearing that the avengers would come to know his address. There were many cases like this. The judges were astonished by the statement of the citizen A.T., imprisoned for killing two innocent brothers, N.P and Gj.P. in the village of Grude, near Shkodra. He had escaped from the prison of Shenkoll on October 2, 2010 and lived undisturbed in Shkodra until March 18, 2011, when he shot on the two brothers. He also admitted that he had a conflict with the former Chief of the Crimes Department in Shkodra Police, P.P., whom he had called in America asking him to return, otherwise he would kill his two brothers. This is what declared before the judges of the Court of Shkodra the unrepentant killer. The two brothers of the former Chief of the Crimes Department were shot in front of their house and the murderer was proud for doing something, although, according to the justice, which closed this conflict's file since August 2, 2000, when P.P. was heading a secret police operation to arrest B.T. the father of A.T., where the citizen B.T. was killed as well as the former Shkodra's Police Director, colonel A. Zylyftari. P.P. was doing his job and in respect of the law. This is what happened with those who want to kill Fatmir Bulija. About six years ago, unknown people killed E. B., Fatmir's cousin, while on March 14, 2011, in the Kiras quarter was killed A.K., Fatmir's neighbor. The Police has no other explanation for this murder, except that of blood-feud. The blood-feud phenomenon in Albania is causing many problems, while the Parliament isn't approving any law as the opposition continues with the protests and protesters are also killed, as it happened on January 21, when four protesters were killed near the Prime Minister's office building. There's a record of blood-feud murders almost every day.

The Life of Klevis Dervishi is seriously menaced

Sell- judgment, in the circumstances of total state absence, is getting more and more powerful day after day, especially in the Northern Albania, where the medieval Canon of Leke Dukagjini, eclipsed even those few Laws.
Every day, murderers are reported as consequence of blood feud and vengeances. Recently, as result of an old conflict, have been executed in the middle of the city of Shkodra the shepherd Dritan Prroni, because, his brother had a conflict.
In other words, innocent people become victims of vengeance. One of these innocent victims, is even Klevis Dervishi, born on December 14.1993. This young fellow's, nay minor's life, from a long time is seriously menaced and is deprived of every human right that his peers enjoys, being that his father Naim Dervishi, on February 12.2009, for unknown reasons, still unrecognized, injured the citizen Sami Ramja. From that day, as per the Canon, the Family Dervishi have been trapped. As a matter of fact, the Peace's Missionaries of Albania Association,( an organization that has erased too many conflicts) intervene in this case. Several reconciliation meetings have been organized, but the family Ramja, has not accepted any price due to blood vengeance. The family Dervishi is trapped and started a difficult life, which end is unknown until the blood feud will be paid. Klevis Dervishi, is the most menaced, he stayed isolated, until he find the possibility to escape towards the West. This fellow, has not any address, and the reason he abandon his country is he loves life, and this life is seriously threatened by the bullets of revenge. Albert Vataj

The opened conflict after the rape of two women

The thefts and rapes are numerous in Albania, Women and girls are victims of this crazy time. Even these two women, Lindita and Ujëza Rrushka, the sister in law, were victims of a violation and from that day and now their live took another direction, the traumatize and the depreciation one of the people they know. It was the date 07.02.2010, when in the street of the ex enterprise Zukth Kashta, in the peripheral street in the north city Shkoder, round 21.00 unknown persons have burgled them by binding the eyes with a band and put hem in the car. The burglars hold them four hours and raped them. After that they brought them again at the place where they were taken without being discovered by nobody. Their husbands by that time were working in Ulqin, of the nearby state Montenegro, and as it seems the burglars were informed about this. Perparim the husband of Lindita works as a carpenter workman while Pajtim the husband of Ujëza Rrushka works as a workman of tin in Ulqin. The both brothers worked there without knowing that their wife were bestially burgled and raped. Both brothers from the quarter Ahmet Haxhia Shkoder, were shocked when they came back after two-three days in their homes and found their wives raped with psychic problems. The parents of the two brothers, now older, tried to tranquilize the boys from the fear that they could murder any one to revenge. But truly the brothers Rushka after investigation by means of persons they know, suspect for some persons. This doubt opened a conflict without knowing how will be the end.
Lindita and Ujëza, still do not go out, as the opinion depreciates them, till their husband will revenge according to the custom of the canon of Lek Dukagjini.
So this is an opened conflict and with two traumatized women which may lead to bloodshed a sin many other cases similar to it.

The live of Prroni kinsman in danger

The Prroni kinsman in Shkoder from the year 2007 is isolated. The blood feud, according to the canon of Lek Dukagjini resulted to an indisputable isolation for them. The Njemza kinsman from the Village Boriç of Malesi e Madhe, controls to get the revenge by killing anybody ofrom the kinsman. And exactly on 8 October 2010 Mark Njemza, 21 years old, managed to shoot in the street pedonale of the Shkodra city, among many citizens the Pastor of the evangelic Church "The word of Christ" Dritan Prroni, 28 years old. The bullet caught even an occasional pedestrian, the citizen L.M. 59 years old, who was wounded and after a while in the Regional Hospital of Shkoder, his life was safe. According to the police, the uncle of the priest in the year 2007 had murdered the brother of the author of the crime. Since that time all the kinsman Gëzim Prroni and Fatmir Prroni, lived hidden. Even today live in illegality from the fear of the murder, because are demand to be murder. So the others of this kinsman. It is supposed that the priest of the evangelic Church "The word of Christ" can no be murdered form the bullet for blood feud, because the canon excludes the revenge at the women, children and priests. The priest predicates the word of God and embed love a people. But strangely every week are recorded in the black chronics of the news even murder of women and children, which makes it very sad the thought that one day Albania will leave behind the blood feuds according to the Codes of the medieval Canon of the feudal Lek Dukagjini. Since in the year 2007 and till today, these two brothers in the picture, Gezim and Fatmir Prroni, have no address. These two innocents and many others of the Prroni kinsman, are the victims of the imprisoning of the live for the blood feuds cause and have no chance for the security of the live, where the bullet of the blood feud is waiting for them. This is even for the fact that the Albanian State seems to stimulate blood feud, accepting , by accepting the most isolated quarters, in the case of the quarter Livadhe in Shkoder, where is publically known that hundred of families with such problems live under the fear of the bullets.
