Showing a violent nature

In the course of the centuries, the Albanians have shown themselves of a sanguine nature, or  violent even after many years, expressing it with primitive revenge. In the history of after 1990, have been noticed many cases when revenge came out, when the grandchild had to pay for his grandfather, whom he might have never known. The revenge is dangerous when it hits people after many years, those who have simply followed the laws of the time. It is remarkable the story of the family Lilollari, starting in the 80’s and coming out after many years, becoming a nightmare for many people, men and women, who suffer the consequences of the inexistence of the State, and also because of the violence in the name of the wild revenge. In 1980, when Enver Lilollari, at the time boarder petty officer in Brigje of Hot, in Malesi e Madhe - Shkoder, he had wounded a citizen named Adem C., who was trying to escape toward Yugoslavia. The petty officer had appealed this citizen to stop, but this didn’t obey, so the petty officer Lilollari had to shoot, wounding him. Thanks to the darkness of the night, though wounded, he could go away escaping the border guards; he went home and was cured secretly.

The period Enver Lilollari worked in this border point is proved by the document with protocol. Nr. 15/03, of March 15, 2008, of the Regional Police of Shkodra, signed by the Police Director. The document says Enver Lilollari worked in the police structure (the former Internal Affair Branch) as a petty officer in Brigje, from December 1, 1959, till December 20, 1981, just the time this happened.

In 1997, with the troubles Albania was going through, the family of the wounded, Adem C., advised the family Lilollari, saying that their father was wounded by the man of this family in 1980, so they’re in debt.

Here started the conflict, which were a true nightmare for this family, especially for the two sons, Arben and Artur, as well as for Jorida, born in 1980, the period this tragedy started, who was recently engaged with Artur.

Threats were frequent against Arben and Artur. This period of 1997, with the massive madness, brought the guns in the hands of every Albanian, young and old, and the danger was evident, mostly for the family Lilollari, which was clearly menaced to death by masked people.

Every gun shot meant death to this family, while menaces continued through anonymous phone calls and letters.

This conflict is confirmed even by the local administration of Shkodra, with a document of the Municipality of Shkoder, district nr. 4, where Lilollari lives actually. The document with Protocol. Nr. 26, of May 19, 2008, says that Artur Lilollari, the son of Enver, is in conflict with some people, because of the position of his father, as former dependent of the Internal Affair Branch.

As it often happens amongst Albanians, the happening of 1980 didn’t close, though this petty officer was only respecting the law of the time.

In these conditions, in 2000, as the solving of this problem by the State was impossible, as the family Lilollari wanted to avoid these conflict, they addressed to the association of the Missionaries of Peace and Reconciliation of Albania, making it known to them, hoping to solve this problem in peace.

This association presents the document with Protocol Nr. 158, of May 20, 2008. No matter the efforts of the association for reconciliation, there was no positive result. In August 2000, Artur and Jorida Lilollari, were legally married and emigrated in a European country, with the desire to have children, what was impossible in the conditions they had.

After some time, the older son of the family Lilollari, Arben, leaves toward a faraway European country, where he’s still today.

The problems were not over for Artur and Jorida, after shortly staying in the country they emigrated to, to save their lives in serious danger, were expulsed and forced to come back in Albania. The motive for their expulse has no sense, for they were sent back because of a misunderstanding of addresses.

On July 20, 2003, the revenge causes a victim. Elson E.V., the nephew of Artur (the son of his sister), who was only 14, was wounded. The target of the bullets was Artur. As proved by the Central Military University Hospital, Register Nr. 121, of June 02, 2008, Elson had gun wounds and was hospitalized until July 28, 2003.

The events followed one another, to get to a very macabre scene, never heard amongst Albanians. Enver, the father of Artur, tells with tears about a rape that happened in his family. The ray suspected is broader than supposed, starting from the fact that during the time the petty officer Lilollari worked in the Boarder Police, respecting the laws, he might have made other enemies, maybe secret, who come out from time to time, as the State is malfunctioning.

By all these problems Jorida was damaged a lot, for she went in depression, as she was a very sensitive person. This was proved by the report of the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Shkoder, with Protocol Nr. 197, of May 16, 2008.

In these conditions, when even the reconcilers can do nothing and when in these conflict the structures of the State cannot guarantee the life that is in danger at any time, the only way to save the life is emigration. So Artur and Jorida had to leave again toward the faraway country they had been some years ago, hoping to find a shelter, but were isolated and risking to be sent back again. All this Calvary of sufferings started when the petty officer Lilollari was serving in the boarder point when Artur was very young and Jorida wasn’t born yet, it is very terrible.

Blood-feud, the monster amongst Albanians

Even a moment quarrel, even when you’re have to protect yourself from a violence, might be the start of a great shock, not only for the adults but even children too.

Skender Milla was provoked and physically mistreated by some people in a bar in the “Partizani” quarter (Rus) of Shkodra. While defending himself, he wounded with a knife one of the persons who attacked him, which was a member of the family Bajri. As always, in the name of the “Canon of Lek Dukagjini”, a tragedy starts, a tragedy that can only be named Albanian. After this, Skender left without address and the direct consequences affect the 36 years old Gezim Milla, his brother. The family Bajri wants to revenge on him, according to the medieval code of Lek Dukagjini, which is still followed by Albanians, and since October 16, 2007, Gezim Milla is in enmity with the family Bajri. Gezim and his family have many times been menaced to death. Noticing the serious danger to their life, all the family had to close in the house to avoid blood-shed.

“On March 25, 2008, I’ve asked 10 days of truce to the family Bajri, for a funeral to my relatives. They promised me the truce, but the opposite happened.” Gezim was shot 500 m from his house, but he was safe for miracle. After a few days, the enemies menaced his wife and daughter, who were out for shopping. They’ve been publicly insulted, with dirty words. The situation of the family of Gezim Milla was continuously in great pressure. Their house was even shot with a shower. The State doesn’t interfere in these cases, and this happened in this unlucky case. Gezim asked the police for protection, but there was only silence. Even to the association of reconciliation was impossible to reconcile such a conflict. This family was in serious danger, even the children had to leave the school, because of this. Gezim escaped too, while the entire family is in serious danger…
