The word “unite” is important to reflect on during these 16 days and beyond. To systematically fight gender-based violence, all of us – from the policy makers, to the police who investigate crimes, the victim’s advocates who have that incredibly important initial contact with the victims, prosecutors who try the cases, and judges who preside over the trial – all of us must actively unite to end gender based violence. – John C.
